Rick & Brent

This picture was taken on my brother's farm in August, 1971. Rick and I had been out fixing fence or making hay when we stopped in the house to get a drink. Brent was 15 months at the time and wanted a sip of Rick's beer. I happened to be standing there with my camera and took this picture. I had no time to read the light so I guessed an exposure of f2.8 at 1/30 sec. I took two pictures and one was out of focus. For those who think it is terrible to let a kid taste beer, Brent is now 28, an electrical engineer and doesn't drink. This picture illustrates how good window light is for portraits. There are windows to Rick's right and behind me.
