Hermann Weber, Rick Holm

Herman Webber had a farm on Pennington Road in Price County, Wisconsin, about seven miles from my brother's place. Rick and I were visiting him one evening in June of 1975 when I took this picture. Herman was quite a character. He was a German immigrant, claimed to have lost a fortune in Chicago in the crash of '29, then moved to Wisconsin and began farming. The car in the background is a '39 Mercury.
